First Indoor rehearsal - TUES. JANUARY 4 from 7 - 9:30 p.m.
Indoor drumline rehearsals will be on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 7-9:30 p.m. starting on Tuesday January 4th!!

6:35 At bandhall, well rested ….you went home and straight to bed after the game
6:40 Uniform check (SOLID BLACK socks, shoes, ROCK DRUMS shirt)
6:45 Depart–This will be a SILENT bus ride –eyes closed-we’ll talk about this
10:45 Arrive, check-in, etc. Be sure you have EVERYTHING – the bus may leave!
WE ARE IN PERFORMANCE MODE from here on out!
11:00 LUNCH – NO SODA/SUGAR – water ONLY!
STILL IN PERFORMANCE MODE!!! Stay focused!!
11:30 Change into uniform
11:50 Move to warmup
12:05 Warm-up and SHOW – full uniform
1:00 Break–you only have 10 MINUTES!!!
Everyone drink O.J. !!!
1:10 SHOW RUN – full uniform
2:05 Move to performance – FOCUS!!
2:24 PERFORM
2:40 Back to trailer to load, put jackets on trailer or truck
Short celebration of our PHENOMENAL performance
And back to performance mode…
3:00 We will go back to the stands together, enter single file, sit in block. No talking. No commenting on other lines. Clap after every performance. Go to concessions.
7:15 AWARDS – Sterling, Spencer, Riley, Katie - be prepared to go on field
7:45 Depart – we will not be stopping on the way home

DRIPPING SPRINGS DRUMLINE CONTEST SCHEDULE
DRIPPING SPRINGS DRUMLINE CONTEST
9:15 Be at band hall.
9:20 Uniform check (Have full uniform - don’t forget black socks! Also have ROCK DRUMS shirt, wristbands)
9:30 Leave for Dripping Springs (sit in sections, NO TALKING, whispering only)
10:00 ON BUS warm-ups / Show (have sticks!)
10:40 Arrive – we’re in “performance mode” from here on out
10:50 Unload / setup
11:10 Lunch (Bring your own – water will be provided – no soda allowed) No one goes to concession.
11:45 Warmups / Show / Tuning
1:00 Change to uniform / break. Have ROCK DRUMS shirt under uniform. We’ll all stay together.
Changing facilities aren't available!!! SO...wear lightweight shorts and ROCK DRUMS shirts....
and put your uniform on over them!!

2:45 Move to ready gate
2:55 Ready gate
3:00 PERFORM and critique (we’ll go over this)

After our performance, we will quickly move equipment to the trailer and change into ROCK DRUMS shirts, then proceed as a group back to the stands to watch the remaining drumlines and awards presentation. Enter the stands single file. We will sit together in the stands (in block if space permits) and there will be no talking. Remember, we are setting an example for every other drumline at this competition. Since there is no talking, there is also no commenting on other drumlines. Clap after every performance. Lastly, have on the correct shirt or you will have to strain your ears very hard to hear the awards presentation from the bus.

LOTS OF STUFF THIS WEEK!!
We'll decide on the Dripping Springs contest tomorrow (Tuesday). If you haven't checked the date yet, DO IT!! (Sept. 18)
Sectionals begin this week:
Monday - Cymbals
Tuesday - Snares/Tenors (Thanks for switching with cymbals!)
Wednesday - Front Ensemble
Thursday - Basses
Snares/Tenors - your sectional next week is on Thursday with basses
Remember - you must play-off the warmup book and mvt. 1 this week in order to go to the game!!
Also - you must play-off the next 8 measures of the Region 2 mallet (up to the 'D' roll) in order to go to the game!!
Playoff times every day at 10:15, 4:10 and 5:30!! Last play-off time is Thursday 5:30 - 6:15!!

ROCK DRUMS HANDBOOK
The ROCK DRUMS handbook went home today. Have this signed and returned before the game on Friday! Also...1st assignment for all percussionists...ms.1-7 of the Region two mallet piece...due before the game on Friday!! No handbook or completed assignment? No game!
